Hi, I'm Noor. I am a theoretical neuroscience researcher; focused on understanding and emulating biological adaptation in health and disease using a first principles account.
I am a theoretical neuroscience PhD researcher at the Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging, University College London with Prof. Karl Friston.
During the PhD, I have been fortunate to work with Dr. Biswa Sengupta (Zebra Technologies; Machine Learning group), Dr. Zafeirios Fountas (Huawei; Neuromorphic Computing group), Prof. Samuel Gershman (Harvard University; Computational Cognitive Neuroscience Lab) and Dr. Cheng Zhang (Microsoft Research; Causal Inference).
Before this, I received my Masters from the London School of Economics, with a particular focus on latent variable modelling, and Bachelors from the University of Warwick.
My research is supported by the Medical Research Council and the 2021 Microsoft Research PhD Fellowship.
