Hi, I'm Noor. I am a theoretical neuroscientist; focused on understanding and emulating natural decision-making.

I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Max Planck for Biological Cybernetics working with Prof. Peter Dayan to understand the computational mechanisms that underwrite meta-control.

I received my PhD at the Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging, University College London (Feb, 2024) with Prof. Karl Friston. During this time, I collaborated with Prof. Cathy Price (PhD secondary supervisor: UCL; Language Group), Dr. Biswa Sengupta (Zebra Technologies; Machine Learning group), Dr. Zafeirios Fountas (Huawei; Neuromorphic Computing group), Prof. Samuel Gershman (Harvard University; Computational Cognitive Neuroscience Lab), Dr. Cheng Zhang (Microsoft Research; Causal Inference group), and Prof. Adeel Razi (Monash University; Computation and Systems Neuroscience Lab).

My PhD was supported by the Medical Research Council, 2021 Microsoft Research PhD Fellowship, and the G-Research PhD grant.
